![]() ![]() Late decision to visit El Pardo on a Sunday and can advise that in many restaurants "menu del dia" is double that of the same restaurant on a weekday, albeit often adding a steak course. ![]() The portions were small (except for the salad), and the quality was too low for the price we paid. Deer is a local specialty at El Pardo and I would expect a better service. Some minutes later, we were told two of the four dishes we ordered were unavailable. We eventually sat down, 20+ minutes later, and we ordered our meal. When I asked them, they said they were "sorry". Actually, the looked embarrassed, hoping we hadn't realised. I expected the waiters to take action, but they did not. Indeed, a table was paying and as soon as they got up, another family grabbed the chairs and sat there. We asked for a table, we were put on waiting list and stayed right there since we were told a table would be free very soon. The staff was nice and helpful, but failed to solve the most obvious. The terrace is nice and shady, and it seemed like a nice choice to have lunch with my family. This restaurant enjoys a privileged location just in front of the royal palace.
